Karachi: A 15-year-old boy was shot dead near Purana Golimar in Karachi on Monday, allegedly by a bullet fired from an unknown direction.
According to rescue officials, the victim, identified as Abdullah, was riding home on a motorcycle with his elder brother when he was struck in the head by a stray bullet. Abdullah died instantly at the scene, and his body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.
Police stated that both brothers worked at a mechanic shop in Defence Phase 2 and were reportedly heading toward their home in Baldia Town at the time of the incident. Abdullah was the youngest of eight siblings.
Authorities noted that the victim’s brother was present during the shooting, but further details could not be confirmed as his mobile phone was switched off. Police are collecting evidence at the scene and have indicated that the shooting appears to have originated from an unknown location, possibly from the direction of Abidabad.
