KARACHI, Pakistan — A three-day capacity development workshop ended in Karachi, aiming to promote concept-based exams across Sindh.
Organized by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) and Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB), the event gathered teachers from various Sindh education boards to train them on the Model Assessment Framework (MAF).
The training focused on preparing teachers for concept- and skill-based assessments, with the goal of improving exam standards and consistency across Pakistan.
Chief Guest Dr. Naveed Yusuf (CEO, AKU & Exam Boards) and Guest of Honor Mr. Rahim Bakhsh Metlo (Additional Secretary, Universities & Boards, Sindh) highlighted the importance of modernizing the country’s assessment systems.
IBCC Karachi’s Director General Muhammad Ijaz Ahsan stressed the need to include co-curricular activities, social responsibility, sports, and leadership training alongside traditional learning.
The workshop concluded with a shared commitment to implement progressive, globally aligned exam practices for a better student experience nationwide.
