Bahrain: Khaleeji Bank, one of Bahrain’s leading Islamic financial institutions, participated as a Golden Sponsor in the 20th Annual AAOIFI Islamic Finance Conference, held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manama.
This year’s conference, themed “Islamic Finance in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Present Potentials and Future Prospects,” brought together senior leaders and experts from across the global Islamic finance industry to explore how AI is reshaping Sharia-compliant financial practices.
The discussions focused on how emerging technologies can enhance transparency, risk management, and ethical governance while maintaining alignment with Islamic values and sustainability goals.
Commenting on the event, Sattam Sulaiman Algosaibi, CEO of Khaleeji Bank, said the conference reinforces Bahrain’s growing role as a global hub for Islamic finance. He emphasized the importance of integrating AI into the sector, saying it offers a promising tool for improving efficiency and service quality in modern banking.
