Balochistan has announced a major curriculum overhaul for the upcoming academic year, introducing new syllabus reforms from primary to higher secondary levels.
The Education Department has decided to include Nazra Quran and Quran-with-translation as mandatory subjects from Class 1 to Class 12. Additionally, new Computer Education textbooks for Classes 6 to 8 will replace outdated versions to improve digital learning skills.
To promote responsible behavior online, separate social media education textbooks have also been approved for Classes 6 to 12.
Meanwhile, Punjab’s PECTAA is also set to replace 29 textbooks for middle and high school classes, with the largest revision planned for Class 9. Publishers have been advised to begin printing to ensure timely book availability.
