A total of 12 interested groups have submitted bids for the addition of two new franchises in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), several international companies have formally expressed interest in acquiring PSL teams.
The PCB stated that bids have been received from five continents, including a consortium of American businessmen, a telecom company, a real estate group, and a solar technology firm.
The board described the tender submissions for the two new teams as remarkably strong and highly encouraging.
The statement added that receiving bids from across five continents highlights the PSL’s global reach and rising international appeal. Results of the first bidding phase will be announced on December 27.
In the next stage, scheduled for January 8, technically qualified bidders will be given an opportunity to compete in an open bidding process to secure ownership of the two new franchises.
The PCB emphasized that the entire procedure will be conducted with full transparency and in line with international standards to ensure the league’s continued growth and expansion.
