Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: New merit criteria issued for recruitment of doctors

‎A new merit criteria has been issued for the recruitment of doctors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

‎According to a new notification issued by the Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 60 percent weightage will be given to academic marks in the recruitment of doctors.

‎As per the notification, candidates will receive 20 percent additional marks for higher education, while 20 percent marks have been allocated for interviews, with the total score set at 100.

‎In addition, a new grading system has been introduced to ensure greater transparency in merit, under which marks will be further distributed according to first, second, and third division degrees.

‎According to the notification, 10, 15, and 20 marks will be awarded for one, two, and three additional degrees respectively.

‎The new merit criteria for the recruitment of doctors will be implemented immediately.
