London – Renowned Pakistani actress and writer Bushra Ansari strongly responded to Indian lyricist and author Javed Akhtar over his recent remarks against Pakistan and the situation in Indian-administered Kashmir.
While on a tour in Europe, Bushra Ansari released a video statement on Instagram in which she criticized India’s treatment of long-settled Pakistani women and its hostile rhetoric against Pakistan.
“What kind of drama is India playing?” she questioned. “You are asking women to return to Pakistan after they’ve lived in India for 40 years. Why did you issue them visas in the first place?”
She also took direct aim at Javed Akhtar, saying, “You don’t even believe in God and yet constantly speak against Pakistan. You are at the twilight of your life; at least maintain some grace like Naseeruddin Shah.”
Ansari further added, “You dance your way to Pakistan and then go back to India and make such irresponsible statements. Have some shame.”
The veteran actress also criticized Indian media, especially anchor Arnab Goswami, calling him “an aggressive and mentally unstable host,” and condemned retired Indian military officials for their frequent anti-Pakistan commentary.
Referring to an encounter with an Indian girl during her European visit, Bushra Ansari emphasized that hatred doesn’t reside among the people, but certain individuals actively poison minds to maintain division.
