The Punjab Health and Population Department has decided to engage social media influencers for its family planning campaign.
Social media influencers will be hired to promote family planning. A special campaign will be launched on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok platforms. An allocation of Rs565 million has been made for the project in the upcoming fiscal year.
Under the project, awareness regarding family planning will be spread through social opinion influencers. A digital awareness campaign will be launched to promote population balance and family planning.
The government will utilize influencers to deliver the message to young people and married couples. A social media campaign has been prepared to bring about changes in public attitudes regarding family planning.
According to budget documents, Rs182.7 million has already been spent on the project, while a proposal of more than Rs 31.6 million has also been made for the project for the fiscal year 2027-28. Influencers, opinion leaders, and digital creators will be included in the family planning program.
