Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has announced that the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) will remain unchanged for July 26 and 27, 2026. The decision was announced by the Ministry of Petroleum, which stated that international Platts oil benchmark prices are not published during weekends, making it impossible to calculate revised domestic fuel prices.
Under the notification, consumers will continue to pay:
- Petrol: Rs335.18 per litre
- High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Rs383.46 per litre
These prices are the same as those notified after the latest increase announced on July 25.
The government had recently increased fuel prices due to changes in international oil markets, raising petrol by Rs3.66 per litre and diesel by Rs4.80 per litre. However, no further adjustment will be made over the weekend.
Officials said that a fresh review of petroleum prices is expected once updated international market data becomes available. The decision aims to maintain transparency in the pricing mechanism, which is linked to global oil prices and the exchange rate.
