The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) started the trading week on a strongly positive note, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining more than 5,000 points during intraday trading.

The sharp rise reflected strong buying interest among investors and improved sentiment in the stock market. The benchmark index climbed significantly as investors actively participated in the market, pushing share prices higher across several sectors.

The strong opening came amid renewed optimism among market participants, who continued to monitor economic developments, monetary policy expectations and broader domestic and international factors influencing investor confidence.

The surge in the KSE-100 Index highlighted the strong momentum in the market, with investors showing increased appetite for equities. The rally also demonstrated the potential for significant market movements in response to changing economic expectations and investor sentiment.

Market participants will now closely watch the remainder of the trading session to see whether the index can maintain its gains and whether the positive momentum continues throughout the week.
