KARACHI, August 24, 2026: Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday, tracking gains in the international bullion market as investors continued to monitor geopolitical tensions and developments in the Middle East.

According to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,200 per tola to Rs487,136.

The price of 24-karat gold for 10 grams also rose by Rs3,601 to Rs417,640.

In the international market, gold prices increased by $42 per ounce to $4,646, according to the association.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in the local market at Rs7,379 per tola.

Investors continued to closely watch developments in the Middle East amid ongoing tensions and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a lasting resolution to the conflict in the Gulf.

In a related development, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived in Tehran on Monday for an official visit to Iran as part of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni received Field Marshal Asim Munir upon his arrival.

The military’s media wing said the visit was aimed at supporting Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region. Pakistan, it added, remains committed to pursuing a peaceful, sustainable and comprehensive resolution to the conflict in the Middle East.
