The central ceremony to commemorate the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji was held on Monday at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore.

Speaking at the event, Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, reaffirmed that religious minorities in Pakistan enjoy full protection of their rights and freedoms.

He announced that the Punjab government has allocated a special budget for the restoration of 15 historic gurdwaras across the province.

Ramesh Singh also highlighted that there are no visa restrictions imposed by Pakistan for Indian Sikh pilgrims, adding that the Wagah border remains open to facilitate their visits for religious occasions.
