Karachi (Rustam Ali) – Following a rainfall in Karachi, Karachi Police have been put on alert on the instructions of Additional IGP Karachi, Javed Alam Odho. The Karachi Police Chief has directed all field commanders to remain present in their respective areas during the expected rains.

He instructed the traffic police to play their role in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic during and after the rain. In areas where water accumulation is high, alternative routes should be provided for traffic.

Patrolling police vehicles have been ordered to be equipped with essential tools, tubes, and equipment needed to assist vehicles stuck in the rain.

Police have also been instructed to stay in contact with the civil administration to ensure timely assistance to the public.

The public is advised to stay away from electric wires, poles, trees, and signboards. In case of any emergency, citizens are urged to immediately contact Police Helpline 15 or call 1915 for traffic information and guidance.
