Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and Indian Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh‘s cross-border collaboration ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ is making a powerful impact internationally, earning Rs33.6 crore in just its first week at the overseas box office.
Despite being banned in India due to political tensions following the Pahalgam incident and the casting of a Pakistani actress, the film has performed exceptionally well in markets such as the USA, Canada, UK, and Pakistan. It is now just Rs16.4 crore away from crossing the major Rs50 crore milestone.
Critics and audiences alike have praised the film’s engaging storyline, colorful visuals, and strong performances. Indian-origin viewers abroad have also shown great appreciation for the film.
Trade analysts consider this box office run highly impressive, especially for a Punjabi-language film. The movie, made on a budget of Rs35 crore, has already turned a profit internationally. Experts believe that if it had released in India, it could have reached a global total of Rs100 crore.
Directed by Amar Hundal and written by Dheeraj Rattan and Manilla Rattan, the film also stars Neeru Bajwa and Jasmin Bajwa in key roles. Released on June 27, 2025, Sardaar Ji 3 is now being hailed as a major milestone in Diljit’s career and a breakthrough for Hania Aamir in Punjabi cinema.
