Influencer and TV personality Urfi Javed shocked her followers after posting an unfiltered video showing her swollen, red face following a painful lip filler dissolving procedure.
In the video, Urfi explained that she had been using lip and laugh-line fillers since the age of 18, but over time they became misplaced and started to make her face look unnatural. After trying to fix it with more filler, she finally chose to dissolve everything using hyaluronidase — an enzyme that breaks down cosmetic fillers.
“This is not a filter,” she said in the video. “And yes, it hurts a lot.”
Urfi’s face appeared visibly swollen and bruised in the footage, but she remained candid throughout, urging her followers not to visit random or unqualified clinics for aesthetic procedures. “Go to real dermatologists, not some fancy-looking clinic with no experience,” she added.
Doctors later confirmed that her reaction was normal. Swelling, redness, and discomfort are common side effects after filler dissolving, which usually settle within days or weeks. However, experts also warned that improper handling of such procedures can cause serious complications, including vascular blockage, tissue damage, or even blindness.
Urfi later clarified that she plans to get fillers again in the future, but only in a subtle, more natural way — and from trusted professionals.
Her transparency sparked conversations online, with many praising her for showing the raw, painful side of cosmetic work instead of hiding it behind filters and glamor.
