The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) official while he was allegedly accepting a bribe in Lahore.
According to the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore, the suspect was apprehended during a raid while receiving illegal gratification from a complainant. The accused, identified as Muhammad Irfan, was serving as a Line Superintendent and was posted at the LESCO Sub-Division Office Jia Musa.
Officials stated that the suspect demanded and received bribe money in exchange for installing a new electricity connection. He was arrested red-handed while accepting Rs15,000 from the complainant.
The FIA spokesperson confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused and an investigation is underway.
