ISLAMABAD — Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Senator Irfan Siddiqui has passed away after a prolonged illness.
According to News, Siddiqui, who served as the parliamentary leader of PML-N in the Senate, had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Islamabad for the past two weeks.
Earlier, former federal minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry had revealed that the veteran politician’s condition had become critical and that he had been placed on a ventilator due to severe illness.
Siddiqui was widely respected for his intellect, humility, and contributions to national politics and journalism. His passing marks a significant loss for both the political and literary communities of Pakistan.
