Severe storms disrupt daily life across multiple regions, causing flooding, property damage, and school closures.

Torrential rain and strong winds swept across multiple regions of Saudi Arabia, disrupting daily life, damaging property, and prompting authorities to shut down schools as a safety precaution.

Heavy downpour continued for hours in several cities, causing flash floods, waterlogging, and the collapse of rooftops in some residential areas. Emergency teams responded to numerous distress calls as vehicles became stranded and electricity outages were reported in affected neighborhoods

The Ministry of Education announced the closure of schools in the hardest-hit regions, shifting classes to online learning to ensure student safety. Meteorological officials issued weather alerts, warning residents to avoid low-lying areas and unnecessary travel due to the risk of flooding and strong gusts.

Rescue and civil defense teams remain deployed to clear debris, drain accumulated water, and assess structural damage. Authorities have urged the public to follow official advisories as unstable weather is expected to continue in some regions.
