Turkey has finalized preparations to establish a factory in Pakistan for manufacturing and assembling combat-drones, according to multiple defence-industry sources.
Under the proposed plan, advanced stealth and long-endurance drones developed in Turkey will be shipped to Pakistan, where final assembly and possibly additional manufacturing will take place. The facility is expected to include maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, and may also serve as a regional hub for drone production and export.
Pakistani officials say the move could significantly strengthen the country’s defence capabilities, reduce dependence on foreign suppliers, and create high-skilled jobs in aerospace and related sectors. Observers view the development as a major milestone in the deepening strategic partnership between Ankara and Islamabad.
