LAHORE: The Saddar Division Police in Lahore have arrested two serving police officials involved in house burglaries and three suspects linked to a honey trap gang.
Speaking at a press conference, SP Saddar Rana Hussain Tahir stated that the Chuhng Police apprehended two police officials — identified as Ali Haider and dismissed constable Rahat Ali — along with their accomplice. The accused were allegedly involved in a series of home burglaries. Police recovered looted jewelry worth millions of rupees, cash, and weapons from their possession.
Meanwhile, the Nawab Town Police arrested three suspects — identified as Raza, Khurram, and Suleman — for running a honey trap operation. According to police, the gang lured victims through fake online shopping discounts, recorded their compromising videos, subjected them to torture, and robbed them of cash and valuables.
Authorities have initiated further investigations to identify other members of both criminal groups.
