Lack of interest in work and expressing irritability and anger over minor issues are symptoms of burnout. It has very negative effects on health, therefore it is very important to control it.

‎The term burnout was coined in the 1970s by renowned psychologist Herbert Freudenberger. He described burnout as a serious and stressful condition.

‎According to psychologists, this condition leads to severe physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion, and its negative impact can cause disruption in every aspect of life.

‎When a relative or friend suffers from burnout, they need your support. Although seeking professional help and getting a diagnosis is the first important step, relatives and friends can also play their role in making things easier for the affected person.

‎Health experts say that when a close loved one is suffering from burnout, understanding the situation is most important. Ideally, relatives should educate themselves about the condition and arrange professional help.

‎According to doctors, it is essential that diagnosis is always made by experienced psychologists who have diagnostic expertise. According to the United Kingdom National Health Service, other symptoms of burnout include muscle pain, headaches, sleep problems, weight gain or loss, and memory issues.

‎Remember that burnout, or severe mental and physical exhaustion, can be treated through a combination of lifestyle changes, rest, and psychological support.

‎Other important measures include a balanced diet including omega 3, regular exercise, improvement in sleep routine, setting boundaries between work and life, and various therapies when needed.
