The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have finally broken their 9-year drought, storming into the IPL final for the first time since 2016!
In a dominant Qualifier 1 clash, RCB crushed Punjab Kings by 8 wickets. Punjab was bundled out for just 101 runs, with Josh Hazlewood (3/21) and young spinner Suyash Sharma (3/17) leading the charge.
Chasing the target, RCB raced to victory in just 10 overs, thanks to a blazing 56* off 27 balls by opener Phil Salt. The crowd erupted as RCB booked their spot in the IPL 2025 final, scheduled for June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
RCB now awaits the winner of Qualifier 2, where Punjab Kings will face either Mumbai Indians or Gujarat Titans. Can this finally be the season where RCB lifts the IPL trophy for the first time?
