‎55 New Dengue Cases Confirmed in Azad Jammu and Kashmir

The spread of dengue virus continues to rise in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as 55 more people were confirmed positive in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of affected patients to 515.

‎According to the Dengue Control Room report, Muzaffarabad district is the most affected area, with 294 cases reported so far. Other affected districts include Bagh with 78 cases, Mirpur with 99, Poonch with 19, Neelum Valley with 9, Jhelum Valley and Haveli with 5 cases each, Sudhnoti with 3, and Bhimber with 5 cases.

‎The report stated that currently, 24 patients are under treatment in various hospitals, while 114 patients have recovered and returned home.

‎The Health Department has urged the public to strictly follow preventive measures to curb the spread of the dengue virus. Experts advised that covering clean water containers, using sprays and nets for mosquito protection, and maintaining cleanliness are effective methods to prevent the virus.
