THATTA, August 8: Three people were killed in a tragic road accident when a speeding trawler rammed into their motorcycle near Thatta Bypass on Friday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to police, one of the deceased was identified as Baba Brohi, while the other two victims were young men whose identities have not yet been confirmed. The driver of the trawler fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Upon receiving information, a Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital, Thatta. Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to apprehend the driver.
It may be recalled that in July 2025, at least six people were killed and twelve others injured when a bus carrying picnickers from Karachi to Keenjhar Lake overturned near Makli in Thatta district. The accident occurred when the vehicle plunged into a ditch while negotiating a sharp turn.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the July accident and directed the authorities to provide immediate medical aid to the injured
