MIANWALI, August 8: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mianwali, resulting in the killing of two terrorists, while six others managed to escape, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the encounter also led to the recovery of arms, hand grenades, and explosives from the slain militants. The spokesperson added that search operations are underway to trace and apprehend the fugitives.
It is pertinent to mention that in May this year, the CTD had carried out a similar operation near Rehmanikhel in Mianwali, during which three terrorists were killed and six others had fled the scene.
