Security Forces Kill 47 ‘Indian-Sponsored Khawarij’ in Zhob Operation

RAWALPINDI — Security forces killed 47 “Indian-sponsored Khawarij” during a two-day anti-infiltration operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 33 militants were killed on Friday when troops intercepted an infiltration attempt. On Saturday, 14 more were “hunted down and neutralized” during a deliberate sanitisation operation in the surrounding areas.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the slain militants, ISPR said, adding that sanitisation operations were ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.

“The Security Forces remain committed to securing the nation’s frontiers and thwarting attempts to sabotage peace, stability, and progress of Pakistan,” the statement added.

Leadership Pays Tribute
President Asif Ali Zardari praised the courage, skill, and timely action of the troops, saying the entire nation is proud of its forces. He vowed that any attempt to infiltrate Pakistan’s territory would be met with a “befitting response.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security forces for their bravery, saying they risked their lives to foil terrorists’ “nefarious designs.” He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
