The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a rain alert for the next 12 to 24 hours across Pakistan, with provinces of Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan particularly affected. Authorities warn of flash floods in low-lying areas, rising river flows, and the possibility of landslides in hilly regions. Urban flooding may also occur—people are urged to take precautions.
Meanwhile, intermittent rainfall continues across various parts of Karachi, including parts of Sharae Faisal, Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar, and the surrounding areas of II Chundrigar Road.
Karachi’s Mayor Murtaza Wahab advises citizens to be cautious. He cautions that if travel is essential, residents should check road conditions before heading out. For guidance or assistance, the public can call the city’s emergency hotline at 1915.
