In a series of targeted operations across various areas of District City, Karachi, police have arrested eight individuals involved in the illegal supply of Gutka/Maawa. The operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of Baghdadi, Kalakot, Kalri, and Chakiwara police stations.
Police confirmed that all the arrested suspects are habitual and professional criminals, many of whom have previously served time in jail for similar offenses. A significant quantity of Gutka/Maawa was recovered from their possession.
The arrested suspects have been identified as:
Nabeel, Owais, Shan, Dilawar alias Kaka, Anwar, Sajjad alias Saeen, Mubeen, and Ayaz Hussain.
Criminal History of Key Suspects:
Ayaz Hussain Previously arrested in cases related to a police encounter, drug trafficking, and three separate Gutka/Maawa cases.
Mubeen Has a prior arrest record for Gutka/Maawa-related offenses.
Sajjad alias Saeen Also previously jailed in connection with Gutka/Maawa supply.
Police have registered FIRs at the respective police stations, and the suspects have been handed over to investigation authorities for further legal action.
