KP Operations: 35 ‘Militants’ Killed, 12 Soldiers Martyred in Two Raids

Rawalpindi — The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that two intelligence-based operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 10 and 13 resulted in the deaths of 35 alleged militants and the martyrdom of 12 security personnel.

According to the ISPR statement, forces targeted militant hideouts in Bajaur, where 22 fighters— described by the military as operating under “Indian patronage” — were killed after intense exchanges of fire. In a separate clash in South Waziristan, another 13 militants were reportedly killed; the operations also involved heavy gun battles.

The military said weapons and ammunition were recovered from those killed and accused some of the suspects of involvement in multiple terror attacks in the region. ISPR further claimed that intelligence reports indicated direct involvement of some Afghan nationals and raised concerns about elements using Afghan territory against Pakistan.

The ISPR called on the interim Afghan authorities to prevent their soil from being used for anti-Pakistan activities and said clearance operations will continue to root out militant networks operating under alleged foreign sponsorship.
