Corruption Scandal Rocks Rawalpindi: Fake Statistics Exposed in Anti Dengue Campaign ‎

Corruption, poor performance, and issuance of fake data in the anti dengue campaign have been uncovered in Rawalpindi.

‎Nearly 300 sanitary workers and supervisors have been issued show cause notices for failing to meet targets, while the District Health Authority Rawalpindi has formed a three member committee to conduct an inquiry.

‎According to health department sources, around 300 staff members were found absent during the anti dengue campaign. The absent employees allegedly used last year’s dengue campaign photos to mark attendance and continued to draw salaries.

‎Health department sources further revealed that action has been initiated against employees involved in corruption and absenteeism under the PEDA Act.

‎Officials stated that due to the negligence of absent employees, incorrect dengue statistics were issued, while most of the responses submitted by the accused staff were declared unsatisfactory.

‎According to sources, the inquiry committee will prepare a comprehensive report within two months and submit it to the Secretary of Health, while the inquiry into employees involved in corruption has also been forwarded to the Intelligence Bureau.
