San Antonio continues to grapple with persistent drought conditions. After a brief spell of heavy rainfall during the first weekend of September, the city has now gone 12 consecutive days without rain. According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, Bexar County remains under severe to extreme drought.
Earlier forecasts had suggested that storm chances might return by Monday or Tuesday. However, updated forecast models now indicate that rain is unlikely until the middle or even the end of next week, as a weak cold front stalls across South Texas.
Until then, summer-like heat is expected to dominate the region, with temperatures running high through the weekend. Residents with outdoor plans should be prepared for continued hot and dry conditions.
