The Dangerous Wave of Dengue Mosquitoes Continues in Rawalpindi.

The dangerous wave of dengue mosquitoes continues in Rawalpindi, where 27 new dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.

According to the Health Department, a total of 10,305 people have been screened for dengue in Rawalpindi, out of which 622 were confirmed cases. No deaths due to dengue have been reported so far this year.

Currently, 58 confirmed dengue patients are under treatment in hospitals. Meanwhile, the number of dengue surveillance teams has reached 1,499, and so far, 5,287,353 houses have been inspected. Among them, 154,879 houses tested positive for dengue larvae.

During spot-checking of 1,415,120 locations, dengue larvae were found at 20,585 spots. A total of 175,464 sites with larvae were detected and destroyed.

Over violations of dengue SOPs, 4,183 FIRs were registered, 1,760 buildings were sealed, and 3,389 challans were issued. Fines amounting to Rs. 10.35 million were imposed due to the presence of dengue larvae.

Dengue larvae were found, and patients emerged from Dhama Syedan, Dhamial, Renal, Dhoke Dalal, Dhoke Najo, and Dhoke Munshi.

In addition, dengue larvae and patients were also reported from Rehmatabad, Khanna Dak, Waris Khan, and Girja Lakhan.
