KARACHI – A disturbing case of child abuse has surfaced at an autism center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, where a female teacher was caught torturing a special child.
The incident, which took place on September 26, came to light after CCTV footage went viral on social media. The video showed the teacher physically abusing the child.
On October 2, a case was registered on the complaint of the Sindh Empowerment of Persons with Disability, with charges that include torture.
According to officials, the institution has dismissed the teacher from service. Police have said the woman involved will be arrested soon.
