Algerian Islamic scholar Dr. Qassoum emphasized that Muslim unity is not merely a social necessity but a divine obligation. Citing Qur’anic verses, he reminded that scholars hold a sacred responsibility to guide the Ummah both spiritually and socially. He stressed that division within the Muslim world weakens the community, warning that global powers are actively working to sow discord among believers. “The Muslim community is like one body—when one part suffers, the whole feels the pain,” he said, urging scholars to fulfill their duty with sincerity and courage.

Addressing the ongoing crisis in Gaza, Qassoum described supporting the oppressed as both a religious and humanitarian duty. He called on Muslim governments and institutions to take firm stances—offering aid, severing political and economic ties with aggressors, and enforcing boycotts against products of the occupying regime. He further appealed to international organizations to prosecute war criminals and uphold justice for the Palestinian people, highlighting the growing global awareness and solidarity against oppression.

The scholar praised recent legal and moral campaigns that have increasingly isolated the Zionist regime but cautioned that moral condemnation alone is not enough. “Without concrete action—opening aid routes, activating sanctions, and delivering relief—the current momentum will fade,” he said. Qassoum urged the Muslim world to match words with deeds and build collective strength through education, unity, and steadfast resistance.

Commenting on the recent 12-day conflict involving Israel and Iran, Qassoum said the coordinated hostility toward Iran proves how threatening its support for the Palestinian cause is to its enemies. He noted that Iran’s strong counterattack shocked its adversaries, leading to calls for a ceasefire and inspiring Muslims worldwide. “Iran’s response uplifted the hearts of believers and helped ease the pressure on Gaza,” he concluded, reaffirming that knowledge, faith, and unity remain the ultimate weapons of victory.
