ISLAMABAD: The World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (NHSR&C) and the Society of Gynaecological Oncology (SOGO), will host Session 3 of its CME webinar series in October 2025 focused on breast cancer prevention and lifestyle interventions.

This webinar will emphasize the crucial role of OBGYNs in prevention, early detection and patient counseling. The session is scheduled for Thursday, 16 October 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm (Pakistan Standard Time). Attendees will earn CME credit upon registration and participation.

Why this session matters

  • Breast cancer remains a leading global health concern; lifestyle factors and preventive strategies can help reduce risk.
  • OBGYNs are uniquely positioned to engage women in preventive health discussions, risk assessment, screening referrals and lifestyle counseling.
  • Bridging public health policy with clinical practice, this webinar aims to empower practitioners with evidence-based, actionable strategies.

Healthcare professionals, especially gynecologists, primary care physicians, public health practitioners and allied clinicians, are encouraged to attend. This session promises to deliver up-to-date, evidence-based insights into prevention strategies, lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, weight management), and the integration of screening and counseling into routine women’s care.

By combining WHO’s global expertise, the Ministry’s policy framework and SOGO’s specialized oncology insight, this webinar exemplifies strong expertise, authority and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T). It is designed to offer actionable knowledge rather than mere theory, helping clinicians translate prevention into practice.
