In a powerful yet humorous statement, actor Osman Khalid Butt has called out toxic masculinity on X (formerly Twitter), winning praise for his sharp wit and progressive stance.

Butt responded to a viral conversation that began after a clip from the drama Jama Taqseem surfaced online. In the scene, the male character Qais complains to his wife because his shoes, belt, and other essentials weren’t placed out for him something he was used to from the women in his family. This sparked a debate about expectations from wives in marriage. One user even suggested that men should never marry a woman who cannot tie a tie or keep their shoes and socks clean.

Osman Khalid Butt replied with a sarcastic tweet: “This list is weak. Allow me to expand.” He then humorously added to the list, exposing how absurd and outdated such expectations are. His satirical response went viral for boldly calling out the entitled mindset some men still hold.

Fans and social media users applauded his clapback, with one person joking, “After Jinnah’s 14 points, we now have Obi’s 26 points.” Many praised Butt for consistently using his voice for social justice, feminism and women’s rights. Over the years, he has spoken out on important issues like the Noor Mukaddam case and campaigned for girls’ education with The Citizens Foundation.

His latest response struck a nerve because it wasn’t just funny it was honest, relatable, and a much needed reminder that respect and equality should form the foundation of any relationship.

Osman Khalid Butt once again proved that humour, when used wisely, can be the strongest tool against toxic mindsets.
