India has refused to accept the Asia Cup trophy from Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devajit Saikia has written to the ACC, requesting that the trophy be sent directly to India.
“Should the trophy not be delivered, India plans to raise the issue with the International Cricket Council (ICC),” Saikia stated.
It is important to remember that India has been given the chance to accept the trophy at a ceremony on Monday, November 10th, hosted by the ACC.
