Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that the new “smart syllabus” for classes 9 and 10 will be uploaded today on the official websites of all education boards and the School Education Department.
In a statement shared on his official social media account, the minister also confirmed that the smart syllabus for grade 11 will be uploaded next week.
The announcement brings relief to students and teachers across Punjab who have been awaiting the revised syllabus for the upcoming academic year.
According to education officials, the updated syllabus is designed to simplify coursework, reduce the academic load, and help students focus on essential topics for board examinations.
The revised syllabus will exclude non-essential content and emphasize core subjects to make exam preparation more efficient.
Teachers have praised the initiative, describing it as a step toward a more practical and streamlined education system.
Students are encouraged to visit the official websites once the syllabus is published and start their preparation accordingly.
The move is part of the Punjab government’s broader effort to enhance curriculum quality and improve learning outcomes in schools across the province.
