Hyderabad – Veteran Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi has lodged an official complaint with the Cyber Crime Police after discovering several AI-generated pornographic videos circulating online using his likeness. The actor stated that his image and facial features were manipulated through artificial intelligence tools to create indecent and false visuals, which were then uploaded to multiple adult websites without his consent.
According to reports, the complaint was registered under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, addressing the creation and distribution of obscene digital material. Police have begun investigating the case, tracking the origin of the videos and identifying the individuals responsible for uploading and sharing them.
Chiranjeevi condemned the act, calling it “deeply disturbing and damaging” to his dignity and reputation. He urged the public not to engage with or share such content, emphasizing that misuse of AI has now become a serious threat to personal privacy and public trust.
Authorities have also issued warnings to social media platforms and website hosts to remove all manipulated content featuring the actor. Officials confirmed that a special team has been formed to trace the culprits behind the deepfake operation.
The incident has reignited debate in India over the ethical and legal implications of deepfake technology, with growing calls for stricter regulations to prevent its misuse against public figures and private citizens alike.
