Listening to music can reduce the effects of brain diseases

A general physician has revealed that listening to music can help reduce the effects of dementia by soothing the brain and stimulating its imaginative aspects.

‎Dementia is a brain disorder that causes memory loss, difficulty in performing routine tasks, problems with communication, and changes in mood and personality.

‎While there is currently no cure for this condition, doctors and researchers suggest that listening to old songs can help lessen its symptoms and slow down the decline in cognitive function.

‎Dr. Poonam Krishan stated that music activates different parts of the brain (memory, attention, language, emotions) simultaneously, and such multidimensional exercise helps keep the brain sharp.

‎Brain imaging shows that listening to familiar music can strengthen neural connections, especially in areas that support memory and attention.
