Government Launches Emergency Action to Control Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya, and Other Diseases ‎

The Sindh government has launched an emergency action across the province to control dengue, malaria, chikungunya, and other diseases.

‎According to a notification issued by the Local Government Department, all mayors and municipal commissioners have been directed to initiate an anti dengue campaign. The Water and Sewerage Corporation, Solid Waste Management, SBCA, and all other relevant institutions will take part in the campaign.

‎The notification instructed that spraying and fogging operations be conducted in urban and rural areas, stagnant water at tire shops be removed, water storage tanks be covered, and safety measures be implemented in swimming pools.

‎The Sindh government has also imposed a ban on storing used tires.
