Cool winds sweep Karachi as temperatures drop, signaling the arrival of winter across the city.

Karachi is experiencing a noticeable shift in weather as cooler winds sweep across the city, marking the arrival of the winter season. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), daytime temperatures are likely to remain between 30°C and 32°C, while nighttime readings could drop to 14°C to 17°C by the end of the week.

The city’s residents have begun feeling the chill, particularly during the early morning and late-night hours. Meteorologists attribute the temperature drop to dry north-easterly winds blowing from Balochistan, which are expected to persist for the next several days.

The PMD has also indicated that Karachi may experience slightly hazy and dry conditions, with no chances of rainfall in the immediate forecast. Citizens are advised to prepare for colder nights and consider light winter clothing as temperatures continue to fall.

Experts believe the current pattern could mark the onset of mild winter weather in the southern region, bringing some relief after an extended spell of heat and humidity earlier this month.
