BOREWALA: A sexual harassment controversy emerged at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Burewala Campus after a video surfaced online allegedly showing a professor making inappropriate gestures toward a female student.
According to university officials, the female student submitted a written complaint against the professor on October 31. Following the complaint, the university administration suspended Professor Yahya Khan and barred him from entering the campus.
The Principal of the campus stated that the case has been forwarded to the Vice Chancellor’s Harassment Committee, which is conducting a formal inquiry. He added that no final investigation report has been issued yet.
The video circulating on social media purportedly shows the professor making objectionable remarks and gestures toward the student, including an inappropriate comment regarding awarding extra marks in exams.
