The Sindh government has ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities in the Hyderabad Board’s Intermediate Part-II examination results following complaints and concerns raised on social media.
As part of the action, Deputy Controller of the Top Secret Branch, Ijaz Ali Kaka, has been suspended, while a three-member inquiry committee has been formed to examine the matter.
The decision was approved by Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, after which Universities and Boards Secretary Abbas Baloch issued the relevant orders.
Professor Dr. Arbeela Bhutto has been appointed as the head of the inquiry committee. Additional Secretary Ameer Fazal Owaisi and Dr. Nasrullah Pirzada will serve as its members.
The committee will conduct a detailed review of the Intermediate Part-II results for the Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering groups. It will also examine the records of position holders, the top 10 students, and candidates who secured A-One and A grades.
The investigation will cover the preparation and compilation of results, the checking of answer sheets, tabulation procedures, and the announcement of results. The aim is to identify the nature of the alleged irregularities and determine whether any officials were responsible.
The suspended officer has been directed to cooperate with the inquiry committee and the relevant authorities throughout the investigation.
The committee has been given 30 days to submit its findings and recommendations to the provincial minister for universities and boards. Further action will depend on the outcome of the inquiry.
