Even brief disconnection from social media can improve mental health.

‎A recent study revealed that if social media is avoided for just one week, there can be a significant reduction in issues such as anxiety, depression and sleep problems.

‎According to the researchers, the mental health of 295 young people aged 18 to 24 was studied for three weeks. During the first two weeks, the participants used social media, but in the last week, they completely stopped using it.

‎The results showed that due to the short break from social media, anxiety decreased by 16 percent, depression by 25 percent and problems like insomnia by up to 14 percent.

‎During the study, more changes were observed in individuals who initially had severe symptoms of depression.
