The number of patients suffering from heart diseases in Balochistan has been increasing over the past three years, however during 2025 the number of cardiac cases surpassed the figures of the previous two years.

‎More than 400 patients suffering from heart ailments underwent surgery during the past 11 months at the Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology in Quetta.

‎From January till now, around 80,000 patients have been brought to this major cardiac center, while the number of patients visiting other public and private hospitals in the province and those going outside the province for treatment is in addition to this.

‎Administrators of the Sheikh Zayed Hospital said that a significant number of the patients brought here also include children. According to health experts, the main reason for the increase in heart disease cases among citizens is the neglect of hygiene principles.
