The number of patients infected with the super influenza virus has increased in Karachi.

‎Patients affected by the super influenza virus in Karachi are visiting hospitals with severe cough, flu and body pain. Doctors say that along with seasonal illnesses, this virus can take a serious form.

‎According to health experts, symptoms of the virus include fever, cough, flu, headache and overall weakness.

‎Experts advise citizens to wear masks, wash hands frequently and avoid crowds to protect themselves from the virus.

‎Medical experts say that if these symptoms appear, people should immediately consult a doctor, as failure to receive timely treatment can cause the disease to become severe.

‎According to medical experts, the influenza A (H3N2) virus has been present in the world since 1968 and has undergone more than a dozen major genetic changes so far.

‎This virus continuously changes its structure to evade the human immune system, which is why the flu vaccine needs to be updated every year.

‎Experts say that children are more likely to contract the virus due to increased social interaction, while people over the age of 64 and those already suffering from other illnesses face a higher risk of severe complications.

‎According to the World Health Organization, influenza is a common but constantly evolving disease that takes new forms every year through genetic changes.

‎For this reason, medical experts warn that if super flu cases increase, the chances of patients, especially children, the elderly and those with underlying diseases, being shifted to ventilators increase significantly.
