The four bodies recovered from a manhole near the railway crossing on Mai Kolachi Road on Friday night have been identified as a mother, her daughter, and two sons.

According to police officials, the deceased woman, Anila, had left her residence with her children on December 30 and subsequently went missing. On the night of January 2, the bodies of the woman and her three children were recovered from a manhole near the Mai Kolachi railway crossing.

The identification was confirmed after the woman’s brother contacted the police. Following the identification, Docks police registered a murder case against unknown suspects under state complaint.

Police identified the deceased as 38-year-old Anila, her 13-year-old daughter Kishwar Zahra, and her sons, 10-year-old Koneen Ali and 15-year-old Hussain Ali, sons of Ameer Mukhtar Ali.

Acting SSP District Keamari and SSP South Mehzooz Ali stated that preliminary investigations revealed that Anila was a resident of the Kharadar area. She reportedly left her home on the night of December 31 with her children and did not return. Their bodies were later discovered in the manhole on Friday night.

Police further revealed that Anila was previously married to Ameer Mukhtar Ali, from whom she was divorced. SHO Docks Nand Lal stated that the victims were identified after Anila’s brother approached the police.

Investigators are attempting to locate CCTV cameras installed near the victim’s residence and surrounding areas to trace her movements and determine who she left with on the night she disappeared. Police will also record the statement of her former husband as part of the investigation.

Authorities have also learned of a man named Mansoor, who allegedly had contact with the deceased woman. This information is currently being verified.

Docks police had earlier registered Case No. 9 of 2026 under Sections 302/34 PPC on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Azhar.
