The first polio case of the year has been reported from Sujawal district in Sindh.
According to details, the first wild polio case of 2026 has been confirmed in a four year old child belonging to Belo Union Council in Sujawal district, Sindh.
According to the National EOC, the case was reported through the polio surveillance network. The Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication in Islamabad has also confirmed the case.
