In Khairpur and Sukkur, the outbreak of skin related diseases has led to the deaths of 7 children, while several others have been affected.
According to the source, outbreaks of Monkeypox and Measles have spread across several areas of interior Sindh, resulting in 7 child deaths so far, with many more affected.
In this regard, Sukkur Commissioner Abid Saleem Qureshi stated that four of the deaths were caused by the Monkeypox virus, while 19 children were affected by the skin disease.
The commissioner further said that most of the deaths occurred in Thari Wah tehsil of Khairpur, and emergency measures have been taken in Khairpur to control the disease.
He added that isolation wards have been established in the Sukkur division to treat children affected by Monkeypox and Measles and to prevent the spread of the diseases.
